New Debris Tester - Debris Monitor 4
The Debris Monitor 4 is a small portable instrument for measuring the
ferrous debris deposited in oil filters or magnetic chip detectors in engine and
gearbox oil systems.
Samples are prepared onto slides which are inserted into the instrument. The results provide the basis of an early failure detection system for high
stress engine and gearbox components.
Readings are displayed in DTU's (Debris Tester Units) and can be stored
in memory and output to a PC via a serial interface.
The instrument is battery or mains powered or can be powered directly from an external DC source.
The Debris Monitor 4 sampling process and measurement algorithm is fully backward compatible with Olympus NDT / Staveley NDT Debris Tester Mk3 systems.

Debris Tester Function
For detecting wear in gas turbines, gear boxes, hydraulic systems and engines.
Measures ferritic particles collected from magnetic plugs or filters in lubrication systems.
Minimises unexpected engine and oil system damage.
The Debris Tester provides an early warning failure detection system for components which are subject to high stress levels, such as ball and roller bearings and gears.
